We do not create user accounts. We do not require your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information (PII) to use the App. We do not upload your tasks, schedules, or personal notes to our servers.
3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
All data you create within Aethel — including your tasks, time schedules, energy level tags, and app settings — is stored locally on your device using a secure local database (Hive). This data remains on your device unless you choose to delete it or back it up manually.
4. Advertising and Analytics (Google AdMob)
Aethel uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, which supports the development and maintenance of the free version of the App.
Advertising ID: To serve relevant ads, the AdMob service may collect and use your device’s Advertising ID. This is a non-personal, resettable identifier.
Data Usage by AdMob: The collection and use of data by AdMob are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not control the specific data practices of Google’s advertising services. You can learn more and manage your ad preferences via your device settings (e.g., “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android).
No Sensitive Data for Ads: We do not provide your task data or local app data to AdMob for advertising purposes.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your local app data.
Service Providers: Our only third-party service provider for the free app is Google AdMob (as described above).
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process.
6. Your Control Over Your Data
Local Data: You have full control over the data stored on your device. You can view, edit, or delete it directly within the App.
App Deletion: Uninstalling Aethel will remove all locally stored data from your device.
Advertising ID: You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads through your device’s operating system settings.
7. Children’s Privacy
Aethel is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
